Festivals & Celebrations

We celebrated Diwali in Early Years with great joy.

Parents performed a traditional puja, helping the children learn about this festival of lights. The day included fun activities like making rangoli, lighting diyas, and sharing sweets.

We celebrated Eid in Early Years with joy and excitement. The children enjoyed learning about the importance of Eid through stories and fun activities. They created beautiful crafts, shared special treats, and experienced the spirit of togetherness.

Visits to Places of Worship in Sellincourt Primary School

Our pupils regularly visit different places of worship, including a church, mosque, temple, and synagogue. They learn about various religions, traditions, and the importance of community in each faith.

These visits help our children appreciate and respect different beliefs, and we continue to provide these valuable experiences!

Life of Jesus exhibition was a meaningful event for our Year 5 and 6 pupils and the community. Through interactive displays and artwork, we explored key moments from Jesus’ life, including his birth, teachings, miracles, and sacrifice.

It was a valuable opportunity for children to deepen their understanding of his life and message.

 Harvest Festival 2024

Our Harvest Festival was a wonderful celebration of community and giving. We collected non-perishable food for local families in need, and children harvested carrots, olives and potatoes from our school garden.

They also enjoyed creating harvest-themed crafts during their  art activities. The celebrations concluded with a trip to the local church.
